Emotionworks Cut Opera condenses Mozart’s classic comedy opera and fuses it with 1950s rock and roll in this swinging, action-packed, retro inspired production. This is opera fusion. Hear the best hits from the 1950s alongside Mozart’s beautiful arias and ensembles performed by a great young cast of opera and contemporary singers. This is a trip down memory lane featuring songs by Elvis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry to name a few and as they wind back the clock to the 1950s, with some great swing dancers. Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti is the story of four teenagers finding love for the first time and discovering its fickle nature whilst being manipulated by their friend Alfonzo (the headline act). Set at a concert in a 1950’s dance hall - this is about innocent love, deception and betrayal. See 'Alfonzo and The Rockers' with special guest star Despina - live at the St Kilda Lawn Bowls Club. Creator and award winning director Julie Edwardson, has put together a strong cast with the lovers played by Kimberly Coleman, Michael Lampard, Katrina Waters and Pat Macdevitt. This is opera up close and personal.
