Beccy from Salt Pilates talks to us about her studio and her favourite things to do on Carlisle Street in Balaclava.
We are a boutique, contemporary Pilates Studio focused on small group reformer Pilates and private training. All classes provide a variety of functional movements, with exercises to strengthen, align, lengthen and tone your body, leaving you feeling energised.
We have created an environment which feels welcoming and inclusive. With experienced instructors, a modern space and motivating tunes, Salt Pilates Studio aims not only to challenge the body but also challenge minds.
Beccy’s Top 5 things on Carlisle Street in Balaclava.
My day usually starts at 5am. I teach two early morning and three mid-morning Reformer Pilates classes at Salt Pilates Studio. I like to have a breakfast break around 8am and head to my favourite little cafe Wall Two 80. Not only is the coffee one of the best on Carlisle street, the baristas and wait staff instantly give off a cool and friendly vibe. They remember your name, coffee order and love a chat!
I love to have fresh flowers and plants in the studio. Gan Eden Flowers always have a great variety of flowers and assist you with anything you need!
Next door to Gan Eden is Lulu & Little Lulu, an amazing gift shop! I could spend hours in there! They have 2 shops, one being a baby gift shop with cute little blankets, clothes and toys and next door has a cool range of gifts such as candles, recipe books and a selection of clothing.
For the ULTIMATE haircut and great laughs head to House of Hoxton! Tucked away behind the cafe Little Miss, you will find Goose the bulldog guarding the door. Don’t be fooled he is the friendliest, coolest dog you will meet (he also likes to do Pilates). These girls will give you all the goss and coffee or a wine whilst you relax and get your hair done!
Nothing is better than ending the day with a glass of wine at Ms Carlisle listening to live music and eating yummy food!
