Cowork Me is St Kilda’s newest coworking hub, and it’s certainly humming. Opening our doors in June, the space is already home to over 60 different businesses- and we’re only getting bigger. We think we know why, too; based in busy St. Kilda (yes, there are palm trees involved), we offer pooch-friendly offices and perks like wellbeing and networking events, our in-house cafe, all set across two sun-drenched floors. The best part is, we’re ideally located with a tram stop right outside, so getting around is a breeze.

CoWork Me St Kilda

After spending the last few months exploring our St. Kilda neighbours, our members have kindly agreed to share with you their favorite spots to catch a break around town.

Woodfrog Bakery
First up, our favorite bakery, recommended by Flo from Veterinary Practice Partners. Founded in St Kilda, Woodfrog’s flagship store can be found around the corner from us on Barkley st. Baked fresh daily on site (have a peek through the glass windows to see the masters at work!), sign up for unlimited toast to enjoy in-store with their jam and spreads, or choose from their delicious whole loaf offerings. We’re personally obsessed with their pumpkin sourdough. The cosy, rustic interior and sunny shopfront tables will please any St. Kilda connoisseur.

Acland St
A trip around St. Kilda isn’t really complete without a stroll down Acland St. Always a favorite, press your faces up against the glass of Europa Cake Shop, browse the latest releases at Readings bookstore, or grab a bite at the legendary Cicciolina, favorite restaurant of Chris from Enablr. Dotted with palm trees and just around the corner from the iconic Luna Park, lively Acland St always has a TGI Friday feel, no matter what day of the week it is.

Veg Out Community Gardens
Just off Acland St, you’ll find yourself in an oasis of greenery and delightful crafts, a favorite of Shai of Powered Property. Veg Out Community Gardens shows off St. Kilda’s creative community in whole different way, with woodwork, metalwork, mosaics and all organically grown veg and flower beds.  There’s a wonderful sense of community to the gardens where it’s easy to see how much love and dedication the owners of the 140 different plots pour into the collaborative space. It’s the perfect place to find some quiet moments of serenity during a busy work day. Plus, they host a lovely farmer’s market once a month.

Staple Cafe
Business partners Matt and Paul of Array swear by Staple cafe, for all your- well- staples. Keeping things clean, Staple swears by doing the simple things right: the toast, the eggs, the pancakes. The decor follows suit: a light and airy space featuring exposed concrete walls, wood beam shelving, and dotted with pretty greenery. With coffee sourced from the much loved Omar and the Marvelous Coffee Bird, you know your caffeine needs are in good hands.

St Kilda Botanical Gardens
Recommended by David from THNK Innovations, you can’t go past a break at St Kilda Botanical Gardens. Tried and true, there’s nothing quite like spending some time relaxing near the pond with the sun on your skin, or exploring their lush greenhouse. Mingle with tourists, locals, and fitness fanatics alike in the iconic gardens, and- if you’re lucky- you might even happen upon a wedding.
