The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is back for 2020 . Across a wide variety of locations over three weeks – from 25 March to 19 April – you’ll be able to see some of the best international and local comedians.

The City of Port Phillip isn’t missing out on the fun either with venues in St Kilda and Elwood putting on some fantastic live shows. Check out some must-see nights when the Comedy Festival comes to Port Phillip .

Urzila Carlson – Token African 

Playing one show at the Palais Theatre, Urzila Carlson’s Token African is one of the hottest tickets going around at this year’s festival. Carlson won the People’s Choice Award at last year’s festival, and has become a household name due to hilarious appearances on Channel Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention?

Token African sets to unpack what makes someone African and how the continent can help put things in perspective. This show is guaranteed to sell out, so move quickly and get your seats to see this hilarious comic.

Jamie Patterson – Awokening 

One of New Zealand’s rising stars, Jamie Patterson comes to St Kilda for his debut solo show Awokening. A Grand Finalist in the New Zealand Raw Comedy Quest, Patterson analyses his place in the world while pushing ideas and breaking down cultural norms with hilarious gusto.

Comedy Pub Crawl – St Kilda 

Who doesn’t love a pub crawl? Now add some comedy and you have all the ingredients for a great night. Meeting at the Prince Bandroom, you and your pub crawl crew will head to four bars in St Kilda, with drink specials and a surprise comedian at each venue.
