Lena Mendez and Lauren Nicholls of Le Hoof and Filly’s Stable
Stable mates Lena Mendez and Lauren Nicholls have been able to add two exciting womenswear and homeware stores to Albert Park, just opposite each other on Bridport Street.
Le Hoof showcases a wide variety of women’s footwear, handbags and designer sunglasses. They feature top shoe brands including B Store and Opening Ceremony, and vintage sunglasses from Givenchy and Christian Dior.
Across the road, Filly’s Stable really has a woman’s wardrobe covered. They stock everything from essential basic tees to show-stopping dresses, plus a wide range of accessories and homewares. Designers include Mendez and Nicholls’ own label ON PARKS, Cat Hammill, Levi’s, Birgitte Herskind and Second Female – there’s a selection for every budget.

Lauren Eldridge – Stokehouse and Pontoon
As the Head Pastry Chef for the Van Haandel Group, Lauren Eldridge’s sweet creations can be found on the menus of Stokehouse St Kilda and Pontoon in the City of Port Phillip. Her new take on Neapolitan ice-cream is a must try at Stokehouse.
A winner of the Josephine Pignolet Chef Of The Year Award, Eldridge balances her pastry work with supporting women in the hospitality industry, through groups like Women in Hospitality (WOHO).
With more delicious desserts to come, the sky’s the limit for Eldridge.
