On Sunday the 17th of March , Australia will see thousands of people of Irish decent, or simply those who fancy themselves Irish at heart, celebrate Ireland’s national day and the traditional feast day of the country’s patron saint.
O’Donnell’s Gardens will have an alcohol-free family event from 10am – 1pm. Activities include;
- Live Irish Music
- Irish Dancing
- Potato & spoon race
- Face Painting
- Irish Merchandise stalls
- Irish Food Trailers
- Irish Candy will also be available
- Irish Welfare bureau will be providing information on how to connect Irish throughout Melbourne
- Street Performers (Irish Fairies, Acrobat Leprechauns)
The family free event will conclude at 1pm and from 2pm it is a ticketed event with live music from Zeon, The Bad Penguins and Gypsie Whiskey as well as food trucks, beer garden, street performers and activities on the day.
